Shoes from the Shepherd Prepares to Bless Local

Students Again

As a new school year approaches, Prescott United Methodist Church is once again preparing to support local students and families through its annual “Shoes from the Shepherd” outreach ministry.

For many years, the church has partnered with families in the Quad-City area to help children begin the school year with confidence and the supplies they need to succeed. For the 2026–2027 school year, the ministry will once again provide gift cards, books, Bibles, calculators and socks.

Plans for this year’s distribution event are still underway, but families will be invited to Esther Hallin late July, just before classes begin. As the event draws closer, the congregation will have several opportunities to contribute through donations and volunteer support.

Anyone interested in helping with setup or distribution is encouraged to sign up in the Narthex or contact Lawrence Digges at the church…
